Please let me know what you think about these B&Bs. Which would you stay at? We are traveling with the CIE Tours B&B Vouchers, so are a bit limited in choices. But if you have a recommendation that isn't listed below, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

B&B

I can vouch for Rockside House being an excellent place for Cashel. It's right at the base of the rock, so depending upon your room assignment, you can have a great view. If your room doesn't overlook it, just step outside and there it is.

Re: Which B&B to Stay At?

Hi Jen,

Another vote for Rockside House. It is the nearest B&B to the Rock of Cashel and many of the rooms have wonderful views of it. Rockside is just a lovely B&B. Rem and Joan Joy can be contacted at: joyrocksidehouse@eircom.net

I don't have a personal recommendation in the Newgrange area that takes vouchers. The place I would recommend is just fabulous but, unfortunately, doesn't take them.

I don't have a recommendation in Malahide that takes vouchers either.

Thanks so much for the input! Rockside definitely sounds like the place to be. :D Maybe someone else will have a suggestion for the Newgrange area.

Thanks again!! Jen.

Recommendations

Hi Jen,

I have a recommendation just south of Drogheda that takes vouchers. This would be convenient to Newgrange (perhaps 30 minutes away). It is Smithtown Lodge in Julianstown. Please note that it is on the main road and rooms facing the road would be noisy from traffic. However, they had a room in the back that was quiet.

As I was digging through my files I came across a recommendation from a reader for Crannmor House in Trim. I haven't inspected it but the person who passed the tip on to me enjoyed her stay there.

Perhaps that will help a little.

Michele
