Hot Air Balloon Rides Around/Near Cork

Michele - do you know of any Hot Air Balloon Rides available in the Cork area?  I will be based in Ballycotton.  Traveling last week in April 2011.

I've searched the internet, without much luck in this area of Ireland.

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Sambailey

This is the only offering that I've heard of -- would guess the nearest would be Wiclow/Kilkenny or possibly, Adare ...   They will do Custon locations for GROUPS ...

Michele - Just wanted to let you know that 2 of the sites recommended are renegade sites of some kind.  I contacted both of these sites and made phone calls.  The operators told me they do not serve anywhere outside the US.

www.corkhotairballoons.com and www.corkballoonrides.com only serve the US - even though the webiste clearly states Cork Ireland.

Looks like the closest balloon ride will be 2 hours away from Ballycotton - from Adare Manor in Limerick.  I found this through website www.balloons.ie

Just surprised that there isn't something in the Cork area.  Oh well I will keep searching.

Wanted you to be aware of the 2 bogus sites above.

Thanks
Sambailey

Sam,

Thanks for the update. That's weird that websites having cork as part of the URL don't serve Cork or even Ireland. Guess they want traffic to their sites at the cost of ticking people off. Definitely not "truth in advertising".

Flights from Adare would probably be the closest. This site gives 4 options.

I agree Michele.  I've sent an email to Golden Moments, so will let you know how that one turns out.

Cheers!
