canal boats

Two of us are going to Ireland in May. Want to do the canal boats after traveling the countryside for a week.Don't know where to begin. Any info on them would be greatly appreciated.

I did a river cruise last May (not a canal boat) and had a great time. It was an amazing adventure. If you have any interest in that let me know. We cruised the River Shannon.

I am interested in hearing more about your cruise. We're planning two weeks in September and have not nailed down our plans yet. We would consider a week on a river.

River Shannon cruise

Yes, please tell me about your trip. We are still looking into this boat thing and can't decide which river to cruise. We are leaning towards narrow boats in the River Barrow but aren't sure.
