COBH


I have an interest in Titanic and thought my husband and I would plan on visiting Cobh. Is the town worth a visit? Opinions please? Thanks.

Cobh is a nice little town and the Queenstown exhibit is said to be very good though I haven't taken the tour. I would think it would be a very good stop for you.

The Titanic - Made in Belfast week is on in Belfast (obviously) in April.

Hi gillespie,

My thanks to Darren for the Titanic link. However, if you are not getting to Belfast on this trip I would highly recommend Cobh. It is a charming town and the Queenstown Museum is well done. I especially liked the movie shown on the ship's sails, the recreation of the Titanic's deck and listening on the old time phones at the hotel exhibit to people gossiping about the Titanic tragedy. St. Colman's Cathedral is worth a look too. The following links might be of interest:
