Killarney vs Kenmare

---

This is our first trip to Ireland and we plan to be in the Dingle/Ring of Kerry area for 4 days/3 nights. I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on whether it would be best to stay in Killarney or Kenare.

Please share your thoughts with us and places you would recommend we stay. I would like to get some reservations in place as we leave on April 1st.

If you plan on doing Dingle as a day trip, then I would recommend staying in Killarney as it is more centrally located for what you want to do. What type of accommodation are your looking for? Are you using vouchers?

We do not have vouchers so that is a plus. I have used your book to contact Catherine Treacy at the Killarney Lodge. I am waiting to see if she has space available.

I hope that Catherine has a room for you. Killarney Lodge is lovely and so convenient to town. If you are looking for a little splurge get a junior suite there. And when you do stay at any place in my book be sure to tell the owners that you are using it. Everyone always offers extra special service for those using my book.

If Catherine is full, get back to me. I have a few other nice places to recommend.
