Travel From Spain to Shannon

Hi Michelle. You helped us plan a wonderful trip to Ireland in '02. We are dying to go back.

My husband will be on a Mission trip in the Canary Islands in August. He wants me to meet him in Ireland after his Mission work is done. Would you know what might be the best mode of travel for him to get from Madrid to Shannon? The airfare I've been able to find seems sort of steep (around $800).

I'm glad to have you back on the forum again planning another trip to Ireland. RyanAir has very cheap fares (30-70 euro) from Barcelona and Malaga to Dublin. It might pay to take the train to one of those cities from Madrid. www.ryanair.com
