B & B on Innismaan, Aran Islands, Co Galway

We plan to stay a couple of nights...for some quiet solitude on the Med. sized Aran Island of Innismaan. I've read that you should pre-book your stay but I only find a couple of places on-line...which are booked and can't even find any phone numbers. Can you help? Also, we are going to travel into N. Ireland this time...can I exchange money at the border? Are their ATM's? Do you have anyother leads on B & Bs in N. Ireland besides what are in your book..which I have?

Robin,

There are very few B&Bs on Inishmaan. If they are all booked perhaps you might consider one of the other islands. Below is contact info for those I know of:

Phone 099 73085
087 2035171
Fax 099 73085

There are ATM's in Northern Ireland. You can stop in any town and use them. Even though they use the pound sterling N.I. money is not accepted in England so when leaving N.I. it is best to either use up your pounds or exchange them. In most of the border areas you can probably use Euros. But if you will be there for several days it is best to get pounds.

I have heard favorable comments and feedback on some other accommodations in N.I. Would you care to post the areas you are most interested in and I will see what I have on file?

Michele
