I have been in contact with Jerry O'Brien at Cork Coach Hire. He answered all my questions and was very prompt. His company is small and since it is they most likely have very personal hands-on service. He has his license posted on his website: http://corkcoachhire.com/licence.htm

Here is some of what Jerry sent me:

"We are not in the large fleet league but we currently operate 5 mini/midi coaches of a quality on par or above some of the larger operators, and we also work with a number of other coach operators when the need arises e.g. during major conferences so we have access to whatever type mini coach or coach we require."

If Joan is recommending them I would be confident that they are fine. Another forum member is using them for her trip, which is not completed yet. Afterwards we will have first-hand info on her experiences with them.

You could contact Tourism Ireland about them and/or ask Jerry for references.
