Kinsale to Dublin - drive or fly?

Hi MIchele,

My husband and I will be spending 6 days in Ireland next month (too short, I know!). We will be spending two nights in Kinsale and three nights in Dublin. We'll fly to Cork right after landing in Dublin, then take a bus to Kinsale.

For the return trip, however, would you recommend flying (via Cork) or driving back to Dublin? Driving could be fun...who knows what kind of adventures we'll encounter, but given our time span, and the fact that it would be a one-way trip, would driving be inadvisable?

TIA for your answer. I do have one more question, which I'll post seperately.
Jennifer

PS - I have an online travel journal, www.travelphile.net, which I promise to fill with my tales of Ireland once we return. I'll post when my report is up

Jennifer,

I am assuming that you won't have a car since you say you are taking a bus to Kinsale. If that is the case, it would make more sense to fly back to Dublin from Cork instead of just renting a car for that portion of your journey.

Thanks Michele - I think we will fly! Less adventurous, but more practical. :)
