Weeeeeeeeeeeee! Celebrate with me! We just bought our airline tickets for LAX (Los Angeles, California) to Ireland for September 2011 !
We like Air New Zealand because they have the most comfortable economy seats. It might not be the cheapest airline, but its the most comfty with good entertainment.
So as usual, we will rent a car in San Diego, drop it off at LAX airport, fly Air New Zealand nonstop from LAX to London Heathrow...and then we have a connecting flight on Aer Lingus into Shannon. (On the way home we fly Dublin to London to LAX...)
To get these connecting flights, you have to book over the phone with Air New Zealand...you cannot get this connection on their web-site if you live in the USA. You can book LAX to London Heathrow on the Air New Zealand web-site...but you can't book the connecting flight to Ireland...so you have to book the whole thing on the phone.
We have flown Air New Zealand several times before and its our favorite airline. Here is an interesting web-site which compares and rates airlines:
I'm so happy! Now I'll be back on-line tomorrow, polishing my itinerary...with real dates! I'm relieved because having those dates narrows down my possibilities somewhat.
Dreaming of Ireland...
