Public Transit into Dublin instead of car?

Often when visiting Chicago we leave our car at a train station outside the city then take the train into the city for the day.

Is this a good option for Dublin? We are staying in Wicklow. I'm wondering if it the driving or parking in Dublin is difficult if it would be easier to take a train into the city center.

Thanks.

Yellowbean,

Driving in Dublin is not advised and parking is difficult and at a premium. Go to my Transport page for links to the Irish rail system where you can browse schedules and get prices. Book online for cheaper prices than walking up and purchasing when there.
