We're off

We are sitting in Dulles waiting for our JetBlue flight to Bostom- free snacks at the boarding gate (good omen?), just received an email that Aer Lingus flight to Shannon delayed from 7:30 to 9:00 PM.

Roy,

We will be on that same Boston to Shannon flight next Thursday. At least they let you know before boarding the flight. Last time Chicago to Shannon, we boarded, taxied out and waited to take off for over an hour. Better luck to you!

Let us know (if you can) how the flight goes and what you were able to find for breakfast at or near Shannon. Will follow your posts until we leave next week.

Have a real great trip! Maybe we'll cross paths.

I will be on that flight from Boston to Shannon next Thursday also. I will be the person with the 23 month old, wish me and my wife luck. We are excited for my wife's grandmother and aunts, uncles, cousins to meet the baby! So, I will apologize in advance Judy!

How exciting for your wife's family, especially the grandma. We will watch for you at Logan Airport. There will be 4 of us, myself, my husband, our daughter and our 14 year old granddaughter.

See you then.

No Michele atl had a bad thunder storm and at boarding we were cancelled never heard of it. Usually they will dela but they didn't and it was the last fight flight out from stl...To add insult delta wouldn't check with other lines to get us to atl because it was weather related. If it was engine trouble it would have been a different out come. So tomorrow we hope to rebook for the second of July Oh yes we insurance and a good travel agent for our first trip...

Sparky,

Of course. We have had some wicked thunderstorms here lately. Lots of lightning, hail and wind. Why is it still 95? You would think it would cool things down.
