Only a week until Northern Ireland Trip

It sounds like a great trip you are working on. Are you staying in Limavady for the 8th & 9th? If so you could get the ferry from Magilligan to Greencastle and do a driving tour of the Inishowen Peninsula in Donegal. If you are going to stay in another area for those two nights there are many areas that could fill in the blanks. Donegal is not far. A couple of my favorite areas in Northern Ireland are Enniskillen and the Ards Peninsula area (near Newtownards). There is certainly enough to keep you busy in all those areas for a couple of days. Otherwise the itinerary looks doable. Are you driving to Dublin or taking the train? Parking is expensive in the city center.

Michelle, thanks for the response. We are staying in Limavady the whole stay as a base. We will be driving to Dublin and staying at the Radisson SAS in Dublin which I understand is just outside of city center. I'm trying to avoid taking the car into the city. I would have loved to see the Cliffs of Moher on this trip, but I think it's out of our range distance wise for us this time. I understand that there are many Glenns to explore near where we've picked our base of stay. Any that you would recommend as a must see or any local restaurants or interesting stops? Thanks again.

When you arrive in Limavady I suggest going to the tourist office. They will have lots of info, brochures, booklets, maps, etc. for the area. That way you can pick and choose what is of interest to you.

I highly recommend the Ulster American Folk Park near Omagh. You could easily spend the whole day there reading about immigration in the museum and then seeing the outdoor section that is full of houses, cottages, churches, etc.

South of Limavady is the Sperrin Mountains and there is plenty of waking and hiking there. They have the Sperrin Heritage Center near Plumbridge for orientation. Near Dungannon is Tyrone Crystal, if you are interested in that.

There is a lot to do and see in Derry. The coast north of Limavady is beautiful and has one of Ireland's longest beaches at Magilligan.
