Asuming our flight arrives on time, about how long does it usually take to get through customs? And with car rental, do you have to pick up the vehicle at the time you say you will, or are you given some leway, in case your flight is delayed. This is the first time traveling overseas and I'm not sure how all this stuff works. Thanks again for the help.
I have never spent more than 10 minutes in line waiting to go through customs. They ask you a couple of questions, stamp your passport and you head to baggage claim. Usually when you book a car they ask for your flight info. In that case they will know what flight you are on and if it is delayed. Since I travel stand-by, I often arrive much later than when the car is rented for. Unless they are closed, there is no problem.
