short stay in Dublin

My husband and I will be flying into Dublin on Oct. 5th, and staying for two nights & two 1/2 half days before heading to see our daughter in London.  Should we venture out of Dublin to other areas or would you suggest that we stay in Dublin the entire time?  We have never been to Ireland and would like to see some of the country side, however with such a short visit we don't know if it makes much sense.  Where would you suggest we go if you think we have time for a juant outside of the city?  What should not be missed while in Dublin?

Thank you so much!

Brenda

Brenda,

Welcome to my forum. With such a short time you will want to stick around Dublin. If you want to see some of the countryside I suggest you take a tour to Co. Wicklow that includes Powerscourt and Glendalough. The tourism office in Dublin or your hotel can arrange that for you.

As for what to see in Dublin, everyone has different views. I suggest you go to Visit Dublin  and look around to see what appeals to you.

Michele
