Emailing B&B's

Hi,

I have been looking at B&B's in Kilkenny. I have found one that looks really nice, but every time I email them, I get it right back, saying that it could not be sent because their mailbox is full. Is this a bad sign about the B&B? I have tried now everyday for about a week. Should I just forget about this one and start looking at others? Thanks for any info.

Ireland on a whole has three ways of handling email either answer straight away, once in a while or quite often never.  It could just be that the place is locked up for the winter.  The best way is always a phone call but then again there is no end of available accommodation anywhere in Ireland.

We stayed at Butler Court. It was tremendous and a great location to walk to anything in Kilkenny.  They are open all year around and will get back with you.

Dawn,

It is hard to know what is going on. Although it doesn't happen often sometimes a glitch can happen with emails. As Tony suggested, they could be closed down for the winter and off on their own vacation. B&Bs do close in the off-season. Are you emailing them directly or is it a form on their website. Sometimes I have found that those forms can get buggy. What is the name of the B&B?

The name is Bridgecourt House. I have emailed them directly from my email. It looks like a nice B&B.

Have tried emailing them from over here to se if its an international problem but no... have also tried calling them on their land line +353 56 7762998 and got no answer. Perhaps they are away somewhere.

Dawn,

Since your trip is in April, I suggest contacting the B&B after the holidays are over. If you want another recommendation go to my Lodgings page.

Thanks Tony for  trying to call them and email them. I will do what Michelle suggests and try again after the holidays. There are a couple others I've been looking at too. I still have plenty of time. I appreciate everyone's help!

I had similar trouble with a B&B in Cushendall last year. After two weeks of hearing nothing, from various emails, I moved on to another place. Two weeks after THAT, they got back to me - they had been on holiday. I already had reservations elsewhere (and the place I ended up with was fantastic!), but you never know what could be going on. Remember, most of us that frequent online forums are therefore online frequently. I know some people don't even have email addresses, or any online presence other than a website someone else made for them.
