You used to be able to phone the NJ office and mention IrelandExpert.com for a 10% discount. Pat Preston passed away recently. So I don't know if that will work either.
This is an in-between time. Perhaps wait till after the first of the year and try again.
The code dochara IS still valid for 5% discount. I haven't found any others that seem to work.
Noticed a SMALL price drop yesterday, caused by the $'s rise against the Euro ($1.27), so I may lock in my April rental pretty soon.
My MasterCard charges a HEFTY 'Foreign Transaction Fee' -- totaling 5% !!! -- so I usually Book and Pre-Pay (in US Dollars) via the N.J. Office (1-800-331-9301) to avoid THAT cost.
I still get hit for the Initial Fuel charge on Pick Up, but Bank of America actually REFUNDS ( ! ! ) the FTF -- If I return the car with a full tank and have the Fuel cost refunded by Dooley.
It doesn't save a LOT, but every little bit helps.
Also, Dooley advises that they will charge a 25 Euro Fee locally (at Pick Up)if you waive CDW, but they never did on my two week rental last June.
Hope this helps ...
Bob

When I called the Dooley office here in the States they told me they would waive the 25 euro CDW fee. My suggestion, just ask for what you want. All they can say is no.
Michelle, Thank you. I was thinking of the cheapest car type, manual, probably in late April or early May for a 12 days. An idea of the 'base' rate to expect would be helpful. Just now, when I checked Dooley's website, the rate for those specifics was $269 total. Is that good or bad?
Love this forum. I've been reading for months and just now decided to start getting serious about a possible trip this spring. EEE! Exciting!!
