Driving from Galway to Dublin Airport	Permalink

Hello, all, We will be driving from the Galway area to the Dublin airport on the day before our flight home. The car does not have to be returned until 4pm so we have most of the day to make the trip. We are looking for a scenic route or recommended stops along the way rather than take the motorway. Diane, I would stop at Clonmacnoise (south of Athlone) and Belevedere House & Gardens (south of Mullingar). Both are not too far off the main route.
