Hello All!

Well, just a month and 17 days (But who's counting, right?) until my friend and I leave for our first trip to Ireland. We are working on our itinerary, though it's not going to be a set itinerary, just a guideline.  If you had to choose between going to the Irish National Heritage Park or the Irish Agricultural Museum and Johnstown Castle, which would you choose?

Keep in mind we will be traveling this day from Avoca, and our B&B in Wexford county is in Rosslare. I don't think there is enough time in the day to see both, and my friend says this is a vacation and doesn't want to be go go go go all the time, which I agree with. So what would you choose?

Dawn,

Actually, I would go down the peninsula and visit Hook Head Lighthouse and Tintern Abbey. I was not impressed with the heritage park. I thought it more suitable for school groups or kids. But if it will be your only folk park in Ireland, perhaps you will like it. I think either Bunratty Folk Park or Muckross Farms is better. And there are a couple of folk parks in No. Ireland that are great.

Thanks for your opinion Michele. We are actually planning going to see Hook Head Lighthouse the next day. I believe when I looked into Tintern Abbey, it is closed while we are there. Just trying to figure out the first day in Wexford Co. I really kinda want to see Johnstown Castle and I thought the agricultural museum would be interesting for my friend. But I thought the heritage park would be interesting too. When you have so little time, it's really hard to decide what to do.

Dawn,

Why not see Johnstown Castle first? If you have time you can then see the folk park. I think you have time for both, depending on when you get started in the morning.
