This is fun, Dude is driving, just like in one of those movies she's not watching the road, her head is always turned sidways so she can keep up with the conversation. And magically the car stays on the road. Neat!

Sorry Dude we don't have bodegas here in San Diego, nope. Never head the term, although we do have tacos and burritos. In fact I don't think we even have mom and pop grocery stores at all, maybe that's why I never heard of a bodega. We have mostly chain stores, we are very deprived. (I did think bodega was a funny word for an Irish word...not at all musical like Laoghaire for example and not even spelled funny like the Irish word for Dingle, totally unspellable...)

Irish streaky bacon for me, please. Since it is armchair travel we can have Bailey's around the peat fire in the thatched cottage near Galway before dinner and still transport to Feakle for Mark's favorite musical pub, with Dude driving, don't worry Dude, you never have to look at the road, not even once! You can even have a Bailey's in the car, in our fictional world drinking will actually improve your driving.

Oh yes, Michelle, I do love the picnic at Loop Head, we can do that before we head for Dude's thatched cottage in Galway. Lying on the blanket listening to the ocean and the birds...this is a really big blanket, since on it we have you and hubby, me, Mark, Dude, and anybody else who wants to join, all on one blanket, pretty cool. My hubby will come too if there's free food. We can even plant some trees for him. Plus it's neat how we all fit in the car, even if there's 12 of us we can pile in our fictional car. Hey let's just hire a driver and take one of those cute little horse and buggy deals they have at Killarney, Dude won't even have to drive.

Smithwick's...I'll have some...am I drinking whiskey? Beer? Cider? Not even sure. And cheese and onion Taytos with no calories of course, my Irish grandma and my Dad call potatoes spuds.

What do you mean too bad it isn't for real? Michelle, I thought it was real! Where am I?

Mark, every night is Wednesday night at Pepper's Bar in Feakle, here on IrelandYes.com, and you can have all the pints of Guiness you want for free. Unfortunately when you log off, you'll be back in the real world, but you can come back any time you want.

Ahh he's a good man!  I love the Murphy's too.  Unfortunately it's not nearly as widespread in Ireland as the Guinness but they do have it at Matt Molloy's.  As for my wife she likes the occassional pint of Carlsberg when she's not having tea.

Mark, how does Murphy's taste different from Guiness? I had to have a Guiness in the Outback steakhouse here in southern Cal, to practice for Ireland. It was a little bitter but strong-tasting and flavorful, not like those pale lite watery beers. What is Murphy's like?

I think I'm having a gastronomical experience here on IrelandYes.

Michelle, Beechwood house has already e-mailed me back, whew fastest e-mail reply I"ve ever gotten, they must have replied instantly! I went to bed at 5:00 am (insomniac night worrying about Mom but she's fine), and when I checked my e-mail there was the reply from Vera and Joe O Reilly! I'm looking forward to staying with them. Thanks for letting me know about Beechwood.
