Dublin Airport Hotels

We will be arriving at 5AM, and after having done this before, we decided this time we need to sleep a few hours before hitting the road. So, we'd like to book an airport hotel room for the night before we arrive. Any suggestions? Thanks.

We really liked the Premier Inn Dublin Airport (actually Swords, just a bit north of the airport).  If you book at least 5 weeks out, you can sometimes land a 39Euro rate/double/night.  The shuttle to the airport is 1 Euro/person.  It is just a short walk from a bus stop where you can catch a bus downtown for 1.65 Euro

I usually stay at the Premier Inn too. It is clean, quiet and comfortable.

Is there a shuttle from the airport? Is it easy to find. Thanks for the advice. The lowest I've found at this hotel is 59 euros, which is not bad.

There is a Shuttle every 1/2hour, 20 hours a day, costs just 1euro. Not sure where the pick up point is at the airport but if you email them they will keep you up to date.

Have also had success at Bewley's Airport Hotel.  The shuttle there is free and the property extremely nice for a great price. Also, they were quite nice to let us in our room at 8 a.m. since they had one vacant.  I think they are more than used to travelers arriving from the west at early hours, and they try to work with you if they have space available when you arrive.

The airport shuttle costing 1 Euro, picks up right at the main entrance door of Premier Inn.  Back on Nov 1, for Carlton and Premier, we found that it drops and picks up passengers at area 14.  You can find it after exiting  the main doors of old terminal 1, veer slightly left, and then straight ahead about a city block.  There are covered walkways well sign posted, leading to all the various loading areas.  Many of the hotels use area 14 both for drop off and pickup.  Hope this helps!  Try google....type in 39 Euro Premier Inn, even though 59 Euros is not too bad a price.   Dan
