Try this again on the correct page! Sorry.

As I am reworking my itinerary, I have decided to set up a couple of options for each of the last three days and just go with the mood Because I trula cannot decide which are my " must sees". They all are!

One option is Killarney to Chair/Cashel area and to check out the Glen of Aherlow. Don't really know much aboit it except for Michele's guidebook, which is absolutely awesome, by the way. Any input on the glen is appreciated or anything else in that area. Also want to know if there are any sites to see between Killarney and Cahir? Don't care which route and don't mind getting off the beaten path.

On the last day and a half , I hope to get away from the tourist areas and wander through quiet villages and maybe see some antiquities.. two fav things are history/antiquities/ruins and pretty rural areas. Any other areas that fit this bill that would be drivable from Killarney and then ending back in Shannon?

I'm still debating Dingle as a day option or an overnight. Wouldn't mind leaving the coast behind for mountains, hills, farmland. Any thoughts or suggestions?

but one thing I now know- I need a year to go everywhere that appeals in Ireland!

The Glen of Aherlow is mostly lovely scenery. It is quite popular with hikers. It does have some things to see and I suggest you look at this list to see if any interest you: http://aherlow.com/attractions/heritage-sites/

Between Killarney & Cahir:

Anne's Grove

Mitchelstown Caves

There are tons of antiquities in the SW and around Killarney. Have you checked Ireland Travel Kit? http://www.irelandtravelkit.com/

On the drive from Killarney to Shannon you might venture off the beaten path to Kilmallock and Lough Gur.

Oh, lands, how have I missed the Ireland Travel Kit? I can see I'll be poking around in there for hours and driving myself crazy wanting to see it all. Thank you, Michelle.

Quiet villages...history..antiquities...ruins...

Two Words...

Lough Derg

I could spend a few days just exploring that area

Walk in the steps of Boru... take a trip out to Holy Island... spends some time in the village of Tuamgraney ...enjoy all Portumna has to offer...Fall in love with the Thatchies of Puckaun...

So much to hold you in East Clare
