I'm just back from 33 days in Ireland. I found lots of wonderful new places to stay. Thank you Bob for the Ashling Hotel rec. Thumbs up on that. Saw the memorial obelisk to General Ross in Rostrevor. He burned down the White House, Capital and other things in Washington D.C. during the War of 1812. That proves whether you are a hero or villain depends on perspective.
Weather was a mixed bag but we had some lovely days. It was warm early on and we were thankful for a/c and/or electric fans at a few places. The last few days of the trip it turned nippy.
We were fairy led a few times especially when my husband didn't believe or follow the instructions of his navigator (me) . Never was able to find Ballynoe Stone Circle.
My husband was amused that the McVitties Christmas Temptations biscuits he bought actually expired in early Nov. So much for a Christmas treat!
Oh, I just died when I read that you spent 33 days in Ireland. I keep telling my children that when they turn 18, I will be cashing in all my stocks, IRA's, ect...and starting a B and B; leaving this sad life in Kentucky behind :)
