Kilkenny B&B

Hi Michele:

I know from your book that you once recommended Rosquil House in Kilkenny.  Is that B&B still under the same ownership and a good place to stay?  We are trying to plan a March trip and that is one of the places I am considering. Also have checked into Bridge View.

Any feedback from you or anyone who has stayed at either place would be helpful.

Thanks,

Geno

Geno,

Rosquil House is excellent and still under the same ownership. They do a fantastic breakfast there. I also like Laragh House. I've not inspected Bridge View.

How many days will you have in Kilkenny?

Michele

Probably just one -- the first night after flying into Dublin.  Have stayed at Dunromin before, but the location of Rosquil House looks great.  We do the walking trek most of the day when we arrive to stay awake, and that looks well positioned to do that.

I know you often warn of making sure places are under the same management, so I wanted to note that.

Thanks -- I am going to contact them!

Tell Rhoda and Phil "hello" from me. It is a long walk into town although doable. If the jet-lag takes over you can cab it back to Rosquil for not much.

Will do.  The walk from Dunromin was pretty long also, but we did fine and ample walking was part of the plan anyway.

I just heard from Rhoda this morning actually -- she said she is glad I got to her when I did, as she is going to Oxford to visit her mother for Christmas and will not be back for awhile.

I will send along your greetings!

Thanks

Glad to hear you will be lining up your reservations at Rosquil. Enjoy your stay and breakfast.
