My husband and I are traveling to dublin on April 5-12 for our ten year anniversary and we would love to have a small ceremony to renew our vows. We are having such a hard time finding anywhere in dublin or very close that is non catholic to have it. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Any information would be much appreciated!! :)
You specify "non catholic" -- do you have a SPECIFIC religious affiliation in mind?
The reason that I ask is that there are TWO, Major Cathedrals in Dublin -- Saint Patrick's and Christchurch ( specifically, The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity) that are active churches of the Church of Ireland. The Church of Ireland is, of course, a Protestant denomination. Many people wrongly believe that these two are Catholic, but neither has been, since Cromwelian times.
Thank you bob for the info! We really don't mind what denomination as long is its Christian and believes in Jesus, all the info we have seen has been a little confusing but I will check onto the websites you have given me thank you!! Monica
