My mum will travel to China from Ireland, and the transition is Munichairport, the problem is she cannot speak English, and I have no time to accompany her.
Here may I ask for assistance from any possible friends to help my mum to find the check-in entrance in Munich?
If you can, provide her with a BLOCK Printed note in English (and, if at all possible, German) to show to flight attendants and gate crew that details the information you just shared.
You might also check to see if Munich Airport offers transport assistance (motorized carts, or wheel chairs) -- Even though your Mum isn't physically handicapped, the service could provide her with transport, Gate-to-Gate.
You might also provide her with some notes with common words, like "Toilet", "Water", etc.
Hope it all goes well!

I have traveled through German airports and there will be people working there that speak English. However, I really like Bob's advice about a notebook or something with English and German phrases she might need. You can get them off the Internet. Depending on the airline she is flying there are many different services available such as accompanying people, wheelchair, etc. that you may inquire about from the airline. We hope she enjoys her trip.
