I've been watching the news feeds for the Bardarbunga volcano in Iceland. Things have been pretty smooth, but new earthquakes this morning...If an eruption happens under the ice, it could be a repeat of 2010. We were scheduled to leave very early Monday morning 2010 when we were cancelled on Sunday. The wait is killing me!
We have most everything packed, though we have a last couple of things to pickup Tuesday afternoon after I visit the chiropractor.Praying the preparation won't be in vain again...
Wendy, Hope all works out well and that pesky volcano calms down. I believe since 2010 the airlines have learned from that experience and have new contingencies in place. Maybe they will fly via the south pole? Now, that would be a long flight.
Wishing you a calm, uneventful trip (volcano-wise) and a fabulous time in Ireland.
Wendy, wish you the best and safe journey! Did you get the trip cancel insurance? If so, hope you don't need it!
Anxiously awaiting your your send off also, and Will be watching the news!
Dan

Dan - I decided to risk it without the trip insurance. We did purchase excess car hire insurance though.
Tony - so sad we won't be able to connect. Safe travels for you in Wales.
The volcanoes still seem to be behaving, so we will be leaving the house at 6 a.m. tomorrow. We'll be online here and there in the evenings, so we will post any updates.
