We will be visiting Dublin for the first time in September. Can anyone offer current information about dodgy parts of Dublin that tourists should avoid? A lot of what I have found on the web so far is really old.
Personally I would avoid Temple bar at weekends but lots of folk flock there.. most problem areas are off the tourist beat in the estates surrounding the city just like much of the rest of the world. Dublin itself is a fairly safe city even by safe European standards. Usual precautions you would take at home apply.
