Back in Dublin...what's next?

Hello all!  I have spent 4 days in Dublin and then 8 days in and around Donegal.  I am now back in Dublin for 3 days.  Any ideas for something new to see? confuse I have been to the cathedrals, Kilmainham Gaol, the zoo, Newgrange, Glendalough, Powerscourt, Temple Bar, Trinity College and the Art and National Museum.  I list these so you can eliminate them.  I saw some of them on previous trips.  Is Drogheda worth a trip?  How about Howth? I have not seen Knowth.  Your ideas are always spot on, so fire away if you can suggest something.  Trip report to follow once I am home and settled back in.  I have taken a lot of your advice for the trip and it has been WONDERFUL!

The weather angels (or fairies) have blessed us.  We have ben told over and over that there has been no summer in Ireland this year.  We seem to have brought it over with us, as we have not been rained out once.

Thanks for any help, all.aww

Marie

The Bray to Greystones Cliff Walk -- but, you don't have to walk it as it follows / is followed by the DART line from Dublin.

Russborough House has some nice features.  http://visitwicklow.ie/attractions/russborough-house/

Train to Kildare and visit St Brigit's Cathedral and Round Tower.  Taxi to St Brigit's Holy Well and to see the Curragh  http://www.kildare.ie/kildareheritage/?page_id=101

Also nearby is Newbridge, home to the famous Silver manufacturer . . .

Swords just initiated a Heritage Walk . . .

On Michele's list, our 3 favorites: St Michan's (be sure to tour the basement crypt to view the mummies), Dublin Castle, and Chester Beatty Library's!
We liked Dublin much more than we thought we would.
Regards,
Dan

OMG!  I WISH!  Ha, ha...I am just sitting down to write the trip report.  Still poor as a church mouse in dollars, rich as Midas in memories.  wink
