There are no car returns in Ballyvaughan. I don't know who you are using but most companies offer shuttle services from the Airport (SNN) Ennis or Galway city. Other than that you can get a bus from Ennis or Galway to Ballyvaughan. In the first instance I would email your holiday company for details.

I am unsure where the need for a rental car factors into your planning?

Thanks for your prompt reply. As to why we would like to rent a car, there are sites we would love to be see that are between the airports and our starting and ending points for the bicycle trip. We are already aware of mass transit options, but wanted to have a little independence to explore a bit more.

Contact your bike tour company and ask them if they have some sort of transfer available from Galway to Ballyvaughan. You can return the car in Galway, depending on the rental company you use. It is about 48 miles from Galway to Ballyvaughan.
