I am wanting to carry lithium battery backups for my phone(s) cameras, and maybe a tablet if i decide to purchase one. Anyone ever had any issues with boarding and the number of batteries they are carrying? I also intend to carry a few dozen AA alkaline batteries. Thanks.

Spare batteries need to be transported in your carry on.  Beyond that, a reasonable assortment of spares shouldn't raise any eyebrows.
