another rental car question..

Would it be cheaper to somehow catch a ride to a car rental somewhere other than the airport and rent there??

You mean like in the U.S., where if you go 'off-airport', you avoid the 'Location Surcharge'?

Not so much.   cry

In Ireland, you either pay the Airport Fee, the City Center Fee -- or the Premium Location Fee.  furious

I've never found a location that didn't charge 'Extra' for Location, either 'rolled in' to the rental charge, or added on, as a surcharge.

It IS possible that there City rate MIGHT quote a higher or lower rental charge, however, as supply/demand and anticipated/expected business factor into the rate structure somewhat.

As Bob said, NO. They will manage to get a fee somehow.
