Glashare Tower House has limited accessability, but if you take Junction 4 on the M8, you can visit/see both with minimal detouring, traveling along the R639 -- Although, it would be best to backtrack to Junction 4 to resume your trip.

That's a long haul. The most direct route is through Killarney, Limerick and the N7/M7 east to Dublin. The Rock of Dunamase (weather permitting), Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens, Russborough House, Malahide Castle. Depends on how much time you have and how far you want to get off the highway.
