Leaving tomorrow night! Quick question

Depending on how you handle jet lag, it MIGHT be possible, but I wouldn't.

It will take about 1 1/2 hours to drive to Doolin -- and then, another two hours, to get from Doolin, to Adare.

If you land at 8 AM, the earliest you will likely depart the Car Hire lot is about 9 or 9:30. You'll need to factor in time to visit the Cliffs -- and the timings (and duration) of the Cruise -- as well as a lunch break.

That makes for a VERY 'Busy' Arrival Day!

Is the plan to DO the Cliff Cruise on his departure day? That would make the detour to the Cliffs more 'Do-Able' -- although STILL a long day for Arrival.

We were just going to walk the cliffs a bit - the cruise is already set for the day he departs - he wouldn't be able to come with us- we are dropping him off at the airport on our way to Doolin. We will play it by ear - if I can sleep well on the plane & weather is good -we'll head to cliffs. Since I will also be getting used to the driving - is there an area that has less traffic & not as intimidating with busses? I remember reading about Hags Head being less traveled.

I have been recommending Hags Head as an option for a lot of years and Liscannor is an easy option from SNN to get used to the driving. www.thewanderblogger.com/hiking-hags-head-ireland/

There are other options between SNN and Adare with Quin and Bunratty followed by Limerick with King Johns castle the Hunt Museum and other features. Auntie Lena's is a decent option for bar food and night out features.
