The technique would work for me.

You could also put up a gif with your email address as a picture and ask people to "Please type the e-mail address listed above into your email to contact Michele." That way they just have to type it as they see it, rather than having to follow instructions.

I hadn't thought of that. I'm so glad you made the suggestion. And thank you for taking the time to make me a gif and email it to me. I'm going to put it on my website. I think I will also add the contact box back. That will give people the option of using one or the other.
