motor scooters?

This is probably a silly question, but do they lease motor scooters or mopeds anywhere in Ireland?  When I thought about it I realized I don't think I've ever seen them mentioned here on the forum (or anywhere else when I tried to google some info).

I'm afriad they don't rent mopeds or scooters. Even motorcycles can't be rented in the Republic of Ireland, although there are rentals available in Northern Ireland. I think it has something to do with insurance. It is bad enough for cars imagine what insurance would cost for scooters. Hey, how about one of those motorized scooter wheelchairs?

We could have Granny races down the cliffs!!    Hurrah!!


I just thought a little moped would be nice for the steep hills .......


Leasing aside, I can't remember if I ever saw very many scooter type vehicles in Ireland.
