Galway City accommodation recommendation

I've a friend traveling to Ireland in May and she is looking to stay in Galway for one night. She wants to be within walking distance to pubs and restaurants. She will consider B&Bs or hotels.

Even though I've been to Ireland many times, I've not stayed in Galway City, so I have nothing to suggest to her.  I'm hoping someone here will have a recommendation I can suggest to her.

Thanks in advance!

I personally like the Park House Hotel just of Eyre Square. It's a great location to be able to walk to everything and a nice hotel. Not cheap of course but for one night why not?
