Irish and Medieval Banquets

Hello,

I found out about the "Irish night" and the "Medieval Banquet" at Bunratty Castle. I was wondering if there were any other similiar things nearer to the Kerry / Killarney / Tralee area. I have searched the internet, but have been unable to find anything. I'm also wondering how long of a drive is it from the Kerry area up to Bunratty Castle? Would it make a good day trip to go see the Cliffs of Mohr from Kerry then go on to Bunratty for dinner and then back to our room in Kerry?

There is nothing comparable in Kerry. There is the Siamsa Tire theater in Tralee but it does not serve dinner. BTW, I have descriptions of all the banquets and Irish Night on my "Dining" page.


I would not recommend a day trip from Kerry to the Cliffs of Moher or Clare. The round trip drive times will take too long, go too far and (depending on time of year) you might be driving back to Kerry in the dark. Can you instead stay in Co. Clare?

I will be flying into Kerry most likely. How far is Clare from the airport?

If you are flying into Kerry Airport I would have to know where you want to go in County Clare to determine how long the drive would be.
