return human ashes to Donegal

one of my late mum's wishes was to return home to Ireland, I would like to know what paperwork may be required for this to happen.

my mother has been cremated so I need what paperwork will I need as we would like to scatter her Ashes at her old farm home which is still with in the family.

thanks Shaun

Welcome to Michele's Forum.

Sorry for your loss.   Basic requirements are a Death certificate and a Cremation Certificate.

Guidelines from the Irish Government are here:  https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/death/after_a_death/bringing_a_body_to_ireland_for_burial_or_cremation.html

You might also check TSA's Rules:  https://www.tsa.gov/blog/2018/07/10/ways-travel-cremated-remains

Your airline might also have specific guidelines, as well
