Hi Michelle,


We will be travelling to Ireland in August with our 4-year old daughter.  She will required a car seat (she weighs 27 lbs.) and we are wondering if it is possible to rent a car seat once we get there.  We are planning on renting a car at the Dublin airport.  I think the car hire will probably have car seats, but sometimes rentals can be poor quality.  Just wondering if you have any advice about this.

Car rental companies have lots of child car seats available. You usually pay a few euro extra per day for it. I was in the back room of a car rental company and it was stacked to the ceiling with child car seats. If you don't like the one they give you ask for another till you are happy. I'm sure they will have one to suit you. Contact your car company for details on pricing.
