Hi, we are going on a trip to Ireland starting Sep 20th with our 18 month old. I wanted to understand rules around the following
1. We might have to use ubers / taxis while in Dublin. What are the rules on carrying toddlers in taxis? Is a baby car seat mandated? It looks like taxis are exempt from laws on baby car seats (https://www2.hse.ie/babies-children/child-safety/transport/car-seats-and-child-safety-cars/#:~:text=Travelling%20in%20taxis&text=They%20are%20exempt%20by%20law,when%20travelling%20in%20a%20taxi.)
I just wanted to double check on this
2. We are also taking two tours. One is a private tour for our group of 6 + one toddler, another is a bus tour. What are the rules of baby seats in buses? Are these mandated? I checked with my tour company and they dont seem to be providing car seats even for an extra fee.
Baby car seat requirements can vary depending on the country, vehicle type, and local traffic laws. In many places, private cars and ride-hailing services like Uber may not always provide child seats unless requested in advance. Tour buses often follow different safety regulations, so its best to confirm directly with the operator. Families should always prioritize safety and plan transport accordingly. Premium services such as Dubai Executive Tours usually offer pre-arranged vehicles with child seat options for added peace of mind. Checking in advance helps avoid last-minute issues when traveling with kids.
