Our intinerary so far:


arrive Dublin Sat July 22, 2 nights in Dublin at Aberdeen Lodge Dublin 4


Leave Monday for Antrim, Giant's Causeway, Bushmill's etc.; 3 nights at Crockatinny, Co Antrim


Leave Thurs for 1 night in Athlone (ancestors)


3 nights (Fri Sat Sun) in Kenmare at Shaminir B&B. Day trips, sightseeing


Leave Monday---here's where I could use suggestions. 3  nights Mon/Tue/Wed somewhere heading back towards Dublin.  We will spend the last night, Thursday Aug 3 near the airport for early Friday departure.


Suggestions on an area to stay in general vicinity of Dublin, maybe an hour either direction.


We would like to see Powerscourt, Glendalough etc. Possibly do that Sunday before heading north or at the end of the trip during these last 3 days....

It all depends on what you want to see on the way. You could take the coastal route or you could go inland. Definitely plan an overnight stay in the Wicklow area. I personally like staying at Glendalough since then you can go there after the buses leave and have the place to yourself. For recommended accommodations see my "Lodgings" page. I also have lots more in my book, which you may have.
