Sending info through email

Michele, I called Ashgrove house today and they are already booked up, my fault for not getting back to them quick enough I suppose, but the great thing is I emailed Bunratty Lodge and I already got a reply saying they have room at the inn!  I am so excited!  I'm supposed to send my credit card number but I'm afraid to in an email...is it safe to do you know?  I emailed back with my thoughts, but I hesitated to call when I received the info because of the time differance, I don't want to wake anyone up!  So I guess my question is..is it all right through email?  Also, I'm having a time booking Jury's Christchurch in for the 14th and 15th of Sept.  Their prices have gone up it seems.  Is there somewhere else you recommend?  I've probably read it here, but alas my brain is becomming like a tumbleweed lately!  Or should I ask my travel agent to book a room in Dublin?  Do they get special rates and do they usually charge you alot extra?

You could send it email in two transations - or 2 emails. That's what we did. Also, we have a reservation at Jury's Inn and had much better luck callling them directily rather than calling the JURY's chain OR online.

Thank you Irisheyes!  I actually received an email this morning from Mary telling me also about the two separate emails.  What a great idea!  I really appreciate your help.  I will try calling Jury's Inn directly as well, and hope that I have the same luck as you!  Mary also told me I could call anytime before 5:30 my time too.  I am always very confused about the time differance...numbers are definitely not one of my talents!

It will be 5 hours ahead in Ireland of whatever time it is on the EAST COAST of the US. For me it's 8 hours ahead as we are on the west coast. I hope I remembered that right.

I am on the east coast, and used to work with someone in London.  I always had to remember to call her before noon, otherwise she was gone home for the day (at 5pm).  That trick might help :)

Deborah,

Good info from everyone. I always break my info down into three emails. One had the name on my card and expiration date. The second has the first part of the number. The third has the second part of the number. So far it has worked very well.

Michele

P.S. I'm glad to hear you got into Bunratty Lodge. It is lovely.

Deborah,

You're welcome! If you know anyone else going to Ireland pass this website on to them. The more the merrier. We would also love to hear your trip report when you get back. That will make us all happy.

Michele
