Hi Michele!  Thank you so much for producing such a wonderful book and travel forum - my friend and I are traveling to Ireland in September for the first time and have found both to be a tremendous resource in our planning...

I was hoping to get feedback on our itinerary from you and the other regular posters.  We are trying to accomplish a lot in our 8 days, but we certainly hope to be flexible and re-arrange when necessary.

We are flying into Dublin and our first full day will be there (we want to see Dublin, but not spend too much time there). The next day we head southward through Kilkenny and into Co. Waterford (staying at Ashford House Farm or even in Tramore at Glenorney By the Sea).  We had initially hoped to stay in Cashel, but were unable to get reservations at either B&B we were most interested in.  We are there for 2 days/2 nights and are planning to make it out to Cashel and Cahir on one of these days.

Next stop on our tour of the southeast is Kenmare (staying at Rockcrest House) - again there for 2 days/2 nights and spending some time on the the Ring of Kerry, at the Muckross House and Gardens and in Killarney National Park before heading north to Bunratty for a night (at Headley Court) by way of the Dingle Peninsula and Adare.  From there we head north again and spend one night in Salthill (B&B TBD) and then back to Shannon for the final night before our flight home.  The last full day we were hoping to take a driving tour from Salthill either west to Connemara or north as far as Sligo before making the long drive back to Shannon. 

Does this sound the least bit feasible?  Or should we be planning for one more night in the southwest instead of trying to stay in Salthill and make it so far north.  Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
