With our first trip to the Emerald Isle coming up in less than two weeks, I can't say thank you enough to you for the great book, this fantastic forum, and to everyone who posts the questions that make it so worthwhile! I don't think I would be half as prepared as I feel now about our trip if I had not found this website, ordered the book, and kept up with reading all of the postings.
Can anyone recommend a good place in Adare to stop for breakfast? I have found a ton of information about dining there, but no place that indicates that they serve breakfast aside from the B&Bs - we're not staying, just passing through, but thought it might be a nice place to stop after flying into Shannon in the morning.
Thanks so much for your words of appreciation. If it makes your trip to Ireland better then that is exactly what I have set out to do with my book and forum.
The Dunraven Arms Hotel would be an excellent stop. You might also try Woodlands Hotel but it is not right in town. Depending on when you arrive, you could also consider the cafe at Bunratty Village Mills in Bunratty.
I hope you have a great trip. There are a lot of forum members heading off to Ireland within the next few weeks. I'm sure we will have a bumper crop of trip reports shortly. Do let us know how your trip goes.
