Cong to Killarney route

Hi Michelle!  Still busy planning, but one quick question to you.  Do you recommend on our long driving day, coming from our castle adventure in Cong to Killarney for 3 days, going via Tarbert ferry or around by Limerick.  I'd like to know the quickest route or if there is much of a differance.  Thanks!

The quickest route is through Limerick. It is slow going in west Clare and if you have to wait for the ferry that takes time. So stick to the main roads.
