JW2,

Sorry, I haven't visited the Captain's House. I do have some good recommendations on my Lodgings page.

JW2-

While we have not made it to Ireland yet (Leave Sept 22nd!!) we have had three of our friends highly recommend the Captians House in Dingle to us.  They enjoyed there time there and said to be sure to stay there if we had the chance.  Lighthousefan

JW2, I haven't stayed there, but I'm pretty sure we drove by it when we were in Dingle in July. I believe it is right in town, which means it will be noisy possibly at night...does that bother you?

Michele's book has recommendations for places that are often just outside of town, walking distance, yet still quiet at night.

Good luck in planning your trip!

We have spent 6 nights at the Captain's House over the past several years, and would not stay anyplace in Dingle. It is on the Mall River, very pretty grounds, great rooms, tremendous breakfasts ( try the smoked fish with your eggs). The owners are well versed on the area and are quite friendly, or will let you alone if that is your style. Friends that we have referred there have all been quite pleased. You can'tgo wrong with a stay there.

Thanks everyone for their feedback on the Captain's House in Dingle. For those who want to be right in town it seems like it might be just what they want.
