Where to Stay in Dublin and Miltown Malbay

Upon arriving in Dublin we are staying 2 nights. Can anyone recommend a hotel or B&B to stay that is convenient to the city and airport and nott real expensive.

We will also be on the West Coast in Clare in Miltown Malbay - can anyone recommend a nice B&B there ?

Best Wishes !

Jury's Christchurch Hotel is walking distance to the center of Dublin and is a pretty good deal.  I did not personally stay there, because they have a tendency to over book and move you to Ballsbridge, but many people have had good experiences there.

IrishBob,

Shawn's suggestion of Jury's Christchurch is a good one. The price and location are right.

I don't have any personal recommendations for Miltown Malbay. I do have personal recommendations for Doolin, Ballyvaughan and Kilrush. Will one of them work?

We stayed at the George Frederic Handel Hotel in 2001 and 2003.  The bus from the airport dropped us within one block.  It is in the same area as Jury's, near Christchurch.  The rates are fairly reasonable, UNLESS it is the weekend -- in which case it gets noisy and bit expensive

shashie50,

I would strongly suggest that you stay at BERRY LODGE in Milltown Malbay.Rita is a lovely hostess, her home is immaculate, the rooms are large, quiet and comfortable. And her meals are out of this world, as she is a fantastic chef, and uses only the freshest of ingrediants. One of the top five B&B's in which we have stayed during our Ireland travels.
