I am just off the plane from Ireland. (Great flight on Delta.) Thanks to everyone who commented and helped others while I was gone. I tried to check in as often as possible but there is nothing like being at home at your own computer to get things done more efficiently. I will be answering any questions that have piled up shortly.
I had a great self-catering experience in Northern Ireland, which I will tell you about too once the jet-lag wears off.
Welcome back! Take a nice long, hot bath and a hot cup of tea before jumping back in with both feet. I am looking forward to hearing all about your trip, soon.
Thanks everyone for your "welcome home". I have managed to stay awake all day but am fading fast so I thought I would try to answer everything here before that.
Youngka,
I haven't been on Continental in decades so really can't compare. Besides it was business class, which has lots more room. Although coach in the past on Delta was not bad. It just depends on the type of plane. I do hate the tiny toilets though. I had to go into it twice before I could get the courage to actually lock the door behind myself. I'm sure the flight attendents thought it was suspicious activity when it was just claustrophobia.
Oh, poor Michele! I never thought of getting claustrophobic in the tiny bathroom...you are giving me new ideas! I usually think of many trips to the bathroom in the back of the plane as a good escape from feeling "stuck" in my seat! Once I think I caught the attention of a stewardess because I broke the record for greatest number of passenger trips to the bathroom. The stewardess was giving me an odd look...maybe she thought I had either bulimia or the runs! Actually I just can't stand to be "stuck" in that seat...it makes me feel better to have an excuse to walk down the aisle.
Welcome home and we look forward to hearing about dear old Ireland...I miss the friendly Irish...
