Hello friends - this is the Galway resident who is always looking for your suggestions.

It appears we are staying here in Ireland alone for the Christmas holidays.

Does anyone know of someplace special to go spend  3 or 4 days over the holiday that will be open and providing service on christmas itself? Last year in Galway, not a thing seemed open for 3 days (24-26th) - not even a food shop or a petrol station!
